SGT John Christoffersen from Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 6 Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder, GE, heads back to base on September 2, 2006, in a Bradley after conducting an early morning raid, looking for weapon caches on a local school, and several houses in the Tameem district of Ramadi, Iraq, during Operation Caribbean Stud. No significant evidence was found.
The mission is part of the continuing support of the 1-1 Armored Division. 1-1AD is deployed with 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq (Multi National Forces-West) to develop the Iraqi security forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
