Snowmelt and glacial runoff from Grewingk Glacier pour into Alaska’s Kachemak Bay. Light grey fine sediments are carried down river from glaciers that grind bedrock into powder as they slowly move along mountain valleys. Where the river meets the ocean, the sediment gradually disperses, and the water fades from bright turquoise to dark blue.

Runoff, Alaska. July, 2016.
